STOP PRESS: Limited emergency assistance for prepayment customers is available and eligibility criteria apply.

We welcome referrals made from other organisations and also direct contact from households.

Citizens Advice Purbeck energy projects are funded by the Energy Savings Trust through the Energy Redress Scheme. They support vulnerable households in both Dorset and BCP Council areas. We work on these projects in partnership with the Dorset Community Fund, and with Citizens Advice in Dorset to support local residents.

Surviving Winter Grants

We are pleased to again be working with Dorset Community Foundation to issue Surviving Winter payments to vulnerable households.
Surviving Winter Grants of £200 per household will be available from 1st October 2020 and are made available through fundraising by Dorset Community Foundation, who ask for Winter Fuel payments to be donated to help support vulnerable households.  Grants are available to households in both Dorset and BCP Council areas.  People over 60 in fuel poverty can apply for support, as well as those who are over 50 if they meet the winter fuel poverty criteria, are on the highest level of benefits and have significant health conditions.
If you wish to apply for a grant please ask your Citizens Advice Adviser or contact us by email or phone:
